Well im making a middle-earth based rpg and i was wondering would you care to help me make up the story for the game.
Im just starting this project so im open to all ideas.

Well i haven't decited yet.
umm maybe the time of morgoth and umm eastern parts of middle-earth
so that the game could tell a little more about the history of the fathers of men.
or something like that.
i was thinking that it would be more a story based game.

and it would not have to stick whit the books facts.

I'd like to help - though I don't know how much help I would be. Maybe I could also do come conceptual art...

Where do you want to start? Can you use character names from the books or would that be copyright infringement?

Maybe the story could start with a young boy, about 15 years of age, who migrated from the east with his father in the house of Beor. The rest of his family having been killed in one of many orc raids that eventually drove them to forsake the lands where they had awoken. During the trek they are ambushed by orcs - in a gruesome attack his father dies defending him from a great orc cheiftain. The boy who had been watching this whole battle take place, trying to hide, then blinded by rage at the cruel death of his father, makes his first kill by stabbing the great orc who is too busy gloating over his dying father to notice the boy approaching. He weeps over his father's body for what feels like forever - an agonising moment transformed into an eternity. He then realises that he's all alone, the people, out-numbered beyond all hope of victory had taken flight, with the orcs in hot persuit. He doen't know how many have survived if, any at all.

I'l have to give some more thought to this, but it's a start. What do you think?

I'm not familiar with the program that you're using... I'd probably use Photoshop to design the map, could I send it to you as a jpg or tiff? What size would you need it to be?

I'll try send you a private message to give you my email address - it might be easier to correspond that way (especially if I'm going to be sending you files). You can still keep this thread updated with developments in the story line so that other people can add/post their ideas.
