Thread: Favourite Narnia books

"... They say’I mean, all the other wiggles all say’that I'm too flighty; don't take life seriously enough. If they've said it once, they've said it a thousand times. 'Puddleglum,' they've said, 'you're altogether too full of bobance and bounce and high spirits. You've got to learn that life isn't all fricasseed frogs and eel pie. You want something to sober you down a bit. We're only saying it for your own good, Puddleglum.' That's what they say. ... "

BTW, is everyone here a fan of CS Lewis too?

My favorite book has to be The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It's just so exciting! I don't really like The Last battle though, because it basically was the world falling apart, and bad things happening. Even though they moved on to better things... The Horse and His Boy would have to be my second favorite then.
But I love them all! *hugs*

yup, most people who are LOTR fans have read Narnia at some time or another.
my fav book is The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe because it was the first book of the Chronicles of Narnia i read i also like The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. but i like them all!!!

I like the last battle best.
But I am currently reading "The Silver Chair" to my younger cousins, and having a great time doing it.

Dont you agree??

And welcome to PT!!

And I would venture to say that they are ALL cleverly written!!!

I recall reading all of the books, but I am not sure how long it's been since I gave any of those a good read. My best guess is that it's been a while.
Anyway, I remember loving each book pretty much equally. Such fine fantasy and even if originally released as children's books, I absolutely love the books. (I'm quite child-like in so many ways, you've no idea..)
Which reminds me of the fact that I recently (My recently varies, this happened like 6 months ago..) bought a complete set of Narnia books, translated into Finnish. I paid 5 euro's for the whole thing.
Yep, flea market findings. My cheapest and easily most unforgettable book purchase. The book is in a good shape and has golden-like covers. I'm going to start reading it soon, very soon.
Oh, yeah. I almost forgot what I was about to say in the first place. I couldn't possibly live with myself, if I would not choose 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' as my favorite Narnia book.
That's just how it is. Cheers!

Glorfindel, if that reply was to my comment, then I must correct myself a little. I had never anything expensive to begin with. The covers are a bit golden, but I'm talking about a collection set. All books in one.
I should've said that in the first place. Instead, I just mentioned: 'complete set' and 'the book'.
Cheers.
