It is considered bad manners though, to make corrections after someone has pointed out a mistake in an old post, but if you just finished making a post, you can go back and change it with no penalty.
I do this all the time, for I need to see the final thing to know if that is what I meant to write, or if I could do it better, and any mistakes are more glaring then.

konsonant as s in
Ei, Ei, O!!! (as heard on Old Mac's farm)
it sounded awful
but very distinct
with aromatic undertones
