Heh heh.
Think I'll support Roma from now on. I've gone off Arsenal somewhat...we're too successful. No competition - no fun.....

BOSTON.... Well, we're rock bottom of the English league, three points behind the teams that haven't even played a game yet. I'd like to think things can only get better, but they might just stay the same....
Well, you've got great company then Val. Liverpool & ManYoo (mwahahahaha) haven't won any games this season either.
Ooooh, I hope the scum get knocked out of the Champions League.

Heh heh, death to Man U, the second worst team ever to play in red.

If you mean we Americans' sad substitute of a game that hides under the name "football"? The four preseason exhibition games started last weekend; so I guess that means the games should start counting on about 08 September this year. Btw when is he NFL starting?

Nice weekend result I think, Chelsea 3, Charlton 2, is this a sign? It's been years since we one the first game of the season, and we nearly always lose to the crappy teams, perhaps things are looking up?

Who's gonna win the Champions League? Easy one, Boring: Club Brugge...
Whatever, I guess, and whoever, but not Club Brugge...

You people suck! I dont get Premier league here....
what ever its called... SOCCER to me! not that my american football game uses its feet all that much but hey!
ok, i lied, i get about two or three games a week here.. at odd times that im never sure of... I have no idea how the league works, or who does what.. I do understand the game though.. sorta.. im a bit rusty! Luckily Mithril Blade follows it and teaches me! I believe Arsenal would be her team of choice!

Jesus! What is it with you people and f***ing Arsenal! Gooners the lot of you.

Not me, Plastic. I don't give a d*mn about Arsenal.

Another good day today!

Well, it's not often I get to gloat on one like that.... And well done to Bolton mid-week too. Wouldn't it be great if Sir Alex's bubble has burst at last. Pity about the Gunners though... and Liverpool and Chelsea and Spurs.... Get rid of a few of them, and Leeds might stand a chance of winning something.

Good one Leeds, I'm very happy for you.
I'd also just like to say Chelsea 3 Newcastle 0. Thank you, thank you very much.

Yeah but 3-2 is a bit more respectable than 4-1 ain't it? Honestly, you offer a little cameraderie in defeat, and this is what you get.

Cameraderie? In Defeat? bwahahaha!

just thought i'd bring this post back upto date.
Again Wednesday lost and it won't be long before Yorath goes.
Watched the England match on Saturday against Slovakia.
Allthough England won,it was an awful match and England played crap. They certainly need to play better if they're to qaulify.

Saturday was a great day for me. One of the lads I work with is from Torquay so as they were playing Boston this week, we decided to go and watch (we've a pound stake riding on which one of us finishes highest in the league - it is only third division after all)
It's the first match I'd been to for 28 years. Boston are bottom of the league, and after several seasons of narrowly avoiding relegation, Torquay are currently at the lofty heights of second in the league. When we went a goal down after 6 minutes I thought we were in for a hammering, but in the second half we were all over them and finished up winning 2 - 1.
We're now second from bottom, but if we hadn't had four points deducted before the season even began, we'd be third from bottom. GO BOSTON!!!!
Anyway, seeing them all over Torquay has given me hope that we might manage to stay up this season :praying:

We had a P.S.E officer in a school today, adn he wanted to lecture all sixth formers on drugs etc. Everyone was being serious, asking question and I ask him why the police recruitment adverts are so **** , and why we just don't have a picture of the police beating up a man with a baton, and how by telling peopel that if you join the police not only do you get a shiny new stick but you also get to at people up with it. Bloody hilarious, i really think the policeman hates me, since i asked other, more embarrsing, adult questions. Why am I telling you this? Because i'm a twat. Just though you anted to read a story of me making a fool of myself. Woo-hoo, it's half-tem! *his Commences happy dance*

Heh, sorry Grondy (btw. my Mod controls are knackered at the minute anyway) I should stop doing this really.
Indy, winding up the police is never a good idea, trust me I speak from experience (can you say "Police Harrassment"?) But half term is not a good thing for the rest of the world, trust me.

If they hadn't deducted 4pts off us before the season even started, we'd be about 16th now. At this rate, we might even survive our first season in the league.

Wooohhh... We've just doubled our fanclub

No Inderjit. This is our first season in the league proper. We're currently second from bottom in Division Three. Three seasons ago we were in the Doc Martin's, we were then runners up in the Conference and last season we were champions.
Must admit, we're struggling a bit now though.
Must admit, we're struggling a bit now though.

WE'VE SURVIVED
Having held up the third division for most of the season, Boston have had a little late season winning spree that has ensured our survival, and given us the chance to prop up the English League again next year.

No, it's about football. What is this soccer thing you speak of...???
I am currently unable to contain my sorrow, because Luton Town have been bought by an as yet unknown corporation, Joe Kinnear (manager) has been sacked, after doing such an excellent job over the last two seasons, and Mike Watson Challis (eccentric chairman) has resigned after suffering losses of ā29m because of the club.
And yes, Aster, Rushden won the Second Division and will have the honour of being hammered by Luton next season.

Looks like the Womens World Cup Finals are going to be played in the USA again, instead of China due to the SARS scare.
hey! we might actually have a chance at that! to bad our men aren't a little better at the game..

Depends from which angle you are looking at it. It was a beautiful game in terms technical aspects and defence though I suppose you would have to be a annaly retentive Howard Wilkinson type to really enjoy that. But the battle between Gattuso and Davids was sublime.

He was taken off in the Second Half, sometime close to the 60th minute I think. Thats when Gattuso, as the only *natural* holding defensive midfielder (Unless, Tacchinardi was playing, i think he was, but he is a different type of player from Davids, Gattuso etc, qand he hasn't impressed me that season as much as he has in his previous two) really began to come into his own.
I can search for the team-sheets if you don't believe me. (Unless you are htinking of Pavel Nedved, the left/center midfielder, whose banning for the final was quite well talked about. I feel sorry for him he worked so hard, and it reminds me of Keane's banning in the game against Bayern Munich in 1998-99)
[Edited on 5/6/2003 by Findekano]

I probably was thinking of Nedved, yes. I think Juve would have won had he played; I think he is by far their best player and one of the best midfielders in the world.
