Hi! I'm from Santiago, Chile. For those of you who don't know, this is southamerica, next to Argentina. It's a wonderful, small, magical, and very beautiful country, with really different landscapes to choose from. I just love it, although I'm a natural born traveller... if I had more money, I would spend much more time travelling, but I've seen a lot though. Still, Chile is like the shire, you know there's a whole world outhere, full of exciting adventures, but your roots belong to this far away quiet place...
It sounds really nice, Negra. By the way, seeing you joined about a week after I did, where've you been hiding for the past 16 months?
I wouldn't exactly use the word hiding, I think "working" would be most accurate. Currently, I'm working in two plays, teach two english classes, a 4th grade and I also attend University, as a student and as teacher (a subject called art in teaching innovation). So, as you can see, I had very little time, but now I'm getting used to that, and recovering other activities I had and liked, so you'll probably see me much more often around here, hope you guys don't mind!!

I have noticed we have a lot of members from Belgium but we don't have many from France, even tho it is a bigger country. Why is that? (It is the same way on other boards I post at.)

Because the French mostly usually go on French websites and don't often use different languages. Same with Chinese and Japanese ppl.

We don’t have alot of Swedish members either
To be fair though we don't have a lot of British members and it's a british website. The demographics aren't important.

The only Belgians I know of are Tommie and myself. I would love to know who else is from Belgium! Well, the answer is probably somewhere in this thread, I guess. I will look for it when I have a little more time. Now I have to run, cos I still have to eat and in half an hour I have a meeting.

You, me, Aentra, Barandth.. er.. and someone else.. Right? I'm sure we were five from sweden... did I get it mixed up? If I missed someone that person may slap me. well 5 in 2899 isn't that much, is it?
I'm sure there is more then 5 people from Sweden but ofcourse not all 2899+ members come to PT at all.
And we don't really give a hoot about quantity anyway; it is quality that counts. And our membership is composed of quality people, afterall, they love Tolkien's writing, and what more could we ask.
Plus about 90% of the members never come on here!

For those of you that are curious, I have 2 people from France on my list, 9 from Belgium, 24 from the UK and 11 from Sweden that is out of 412 people on my list.

Actually Iceland along with Hawai are two of the few places on earth where they are actually growing, this is due to iceland being situated on two continental plates and the magma coming throught whilst being pulled apart at the same time.
And the big island of Hawaii, as have been its smaller brethern, is sitting over a hot spot in the earth's crust where the magma is also rising to the surface and adding to the island's land mass. Farther to the north-west, past the last island in the chain is another hotspot where a seamount is forming and in the future it will broach the surface and also become an island.
Actually Ring, I have 12 listed form Canada, but you Nell and Littleirena are the 3 that post the most.
Yeah well there propably is more swedes in here....but the never log on....like this one I recruited here...Sm’rblomman...she never wrote in any forums....But as Grondy said: We got for quantity not quality here.....ehh...I mean the other way around

No, I am not from France. I just like noticing how many different countries are represented and just noticed several members were from Belgium. I guess out of the 2933 members I haven't seen at least one person who were french. So I am proud to say I am from France, Paris to be exact but of that I'm not that proud...

it’s really not the best place to live but I still kinda like it in Stockholm at the moment...would not wanna live anywhere else in Sweden though. Anyways I hope I can move out of this country when I’m old enough and have enough money...the only problem is where should I live?

I love languages, too. Tho I don't have a knack for learning them. I did ok with German, but not Spanish. I can read and write it fairly well, but I can't understand when other people are speaking to me.
I love languages too! or atleast I did when I thought I was good at them...turned out I was wrong and now I have great difficulty learning new ones but hey...atleast I learned alot of english before I got bad at learning!
