Would it be TELPERINQUAR, the original name of Celebrimbor?

Yes you are correct

Okay, try
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

O?

I'll try for an I please?
R?

No O's or I's for Tommy or Elfie, but a couple of R's for Idril.

I'll try for an A.

how about a C

Are there any Ns please?

What clever people you all are... One C for Maydmarion, one N for Grondy, and four A's for Gildor.

Whoops, sorry Grondy. Maybe I thought it would make too easy if I actually showed you were they went as well.

We've no G's, but there's a T for Tommy. I'd better show you were they go.
C A _ _ D / N A _ R A _ A R T _

E please?

Hmmmm, I hate to be a downer, but I think this word has been used in this game already, and I believe that the answer is,
Cabed Naeromarth
Guess I better pick a new one then,
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
Cabed Naeromarth

Elfie, your memory must be amazing... There are 298 pages of posts in this thread. How do you remember all of the answers? I'm impressed
You were correct, of course. The answer was Cabed Naeramarth, the gorge where Turin slew Glaurung.
As for yours, I'll try an E please.

Val and everyone else: Look at the bottom of the first post in the thread, Elfy and I have tried to keep that list updated after every Wheel of Tolkien puzzle is correctly guessed, so we don't get too many repeats. I guess I'll go for a B this time please.

I'll try for an N this time please, Elfie.

Lol Val, I can’t remember all of them that have been used, but my memory is actually pretty good for the most part. I can’t take all the credit because I do refer to the list on the first page of the thread from time to time, but I think the thing that helps me is I’ve always had a knack for retaining vocabulary.
Plus I’ve been a regular participant in this thread since it’s initial inception shortly after I joined PT, not to mention that somewhere along the lines of this thread reaching between 100 to 150 pages, I went through every single page, and complied the used word list that Grondy has been updating ever so diligently since then.
Honestly the reason I’ve always loved this thread is for it’s educational value. In addition to exposing me to words maybe previously not known, in following this thread on a regular basis, it constantly reinforces, and refreshes my Tolkien vocabulary!
In the specific case of your last selection Val, it was the word Cabed that triggered my memory. I knew I had seen Cabed something or another used before in this thread, and there are only a few phrases that begin with that word so that tipped me off.
Anyhoo, sorry for the novel folks, on to the matter at hand! Let’s see, there are two E’s for Val, two R’s for Idrilcuthalien, and two N’s for Tommie! Sorry Grondy, no B’s in this one.
N _ R _ _ _ E - _ _ _ _ N _ R E _ _
No B so far.

Well, how about an M then?

Any O's?

You'd have thought I'd have noticed the list on the first page wouldn't you.... Classic case of not seeing the wood for the trees.
I'm going for two V's please
I'm going for two V's please

Sorry no M Grondy, but there is one O for Tommie, and two V’s for Val who definitely knows the phrase (why am I not surprised, lol) so,
N _ R _ _ _ E - V _ _ _ N O R E V _
No M, or B so far.
Looking super easy now!
N _ R _ _ _ E - V _ _ _ N O R E V _
No M, or B so far.
Looking super easy now!

what about an L?
And an a?

Toward trying to establish a new record: please don't Give me a G.

There are two L’s, and Loni hit the jackpot with three A’s, but no G for you Grondy!
So here’s where we stand,
N _ R _ A L E - V A L _ N O R E V A
No M, G, or B.
Okay, it's a hanging curve ball, up in the zone, and right down the middle now!

N _ R _ A L E - V A L _ N O R E V A

I bet there is an I, but I haven't figured out the other missing letters.
OOH I HAVE!!! Those Quenya lessons came in handy. Think about the Downfall of Valinor. I think. U?

Yes there is both an I, and a U so,
N U R _ A L E - V A L I N O R E V A
N U R _ A L E - V A L I N O R E V A

Ah, Nurtal’ Valin’reva 'The Hiding of Valinor'
Okay, try:
_ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _
(2-9, 5, 3, and 7 letter words respectively)
Okay, try:
_ _ - _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _
(2-9, 5, 3, and 7 letter words respectively)

You beat me to it, Grondy.
Oh well, I'll have another O, please.

Oh well, I'll have another O, please.

I'll have an E please if any.

I'll try an A

Yes, we have an O for Tommie; four E's for Maydmarion; and four A's for Valedhelgwath.
So now it reads:
A _ - A _ _ _ A _ _ O _ / _ A _ E _ / _ _ E / _ _ E _ _ _ E
Sorry, there have been no wrong answers.

So now it reads:
A _ - A _ _ _ A _ _ O _ / _ A _ E _ / _ _ E / _ _ E _ _ _ E
Sorry, there have been no wrong answers.
