Ford of Brithiach = The ford across the River Sirion in Beleriand connecting Brethil and Dimbar.

From dictionary.com for brace Definition 10. a pair; couple: a brace of grouse. I believe I learned this word from Bobby Stevenson's Treasure Island where Captain Smallet wore a brace of pistols when the left the good ship Hispaniola for the island in search of the treasure.

So try:
