And I bet there are places for som Rs of mine!

Would that there was a G please?

Any N's in there?

_ A L E / O _ / _ I L L O _ _ (4,2,7)
After the third round, it stands with:
One E, one I but no N's for Meneldur
One A for Mellon
Two O's for Thorin (Welcome Back)
Three L's for Grondy, but no T or G
And no R's for The Raf Man

Vale of Willows? = Nan-Tasarion
In the willow-meads of Tasarinan I walked in the Spring.
Ah! the sight and smell of the Spring in Nan-tasarion!
And I said that was good. - from Treebeard's song found in 'The Two Towers'

Yes you are indeed correct Grondy, I chose not to go with the common name; Nan-Tasarion, and go with the more uncommon one to give spice
But I'm glad you guessed it, as my posts were getting ridiculous to read (when I typed it) with all the [ b ] *text* [ /b ] tags on every letter that was guessed correctly or incorrectly
Anyways, for your next puzzle Grondy, I'll go for a H please

Anyways, for your next puzzle Grondy, I'll go for a H please

So try:
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ (four words of 5, 6, 2, and 5 letters length respectivly.)
Sorry, there's nary an H.
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ (four words of 5, 6, 2, and 5 letters length respectivly.)
Sorry, there's nary an H.

I'd like an "R" please. Preferably LOTS of 'em.

May I have an E please ?

I'll try a T instead then

So now it reads:
_ _ _ E _ / R _ _ E R _ / _ _ / _ _ _ _ R
Sorry,

May I have an I please ?

How about an "N" or two (or three or four LOL)?

So now it reads:
_ _ _ E N / R I _ E R _ / _ _ / _ _ _ I R
Sorry,

I think I'll have a couple of "L's" (medium rare please)

May I have a V sir ?

So now it reads:
_ E V E N / R I V E R _ / _ _ / _ _ _ I R
Sorry,

Oops! I missed one of Mellons Es in my previous posts; I've fixed it here. Sorry.
I bet I know which letter is guessed next.

May I have a S please Grondy ?

SEVEN RIVERS OF OSSIR

Oooooh, my sly activities are at a halt it seems, I shoulda answered quicker

LOL! Actually I would've had it even sooner if Grondy didn't miss that other "E"!!!
The other night I'm sitting here staring at it, when it was just E's and R's. I'm thinking "okay the middle is most likely Rivers/Riders Of/In", and NOTHING made sense for the first word except a number. But of course no number fits "_ _ _ E _". If I had that other E then Seven Rivers/Riders Of/In would've been the best possibilities. I don't recall anything anywhere in Tolkien about "Seven Riders", so I would've ruled that out. That leaves "Seven Rivers", and the only place famous for that was Ossiriand (or "Ossir" for short).
Yes, my dear Elven brother, there actually IS a method to my madness, LOL!

Yes, and I'm sorry about the omitted E; at least we got there in the end. Your turn Meneldur.

Whenever Meneldir decides to start a new game; May I please have my mandatory A please?
Oops, apparently this was my 1000th post! Yay for me!

I was just waiting for Grondy to confirm my answer.
Without further ado, here is the new puzzle:
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ A _ _
Good luck!

E _ _ _ E _ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ _ E / _ _ _ _ _ A _ _

May I have an H this time please ?

Yup, I was taking an undeserved breather Sunday. So today I'll guess the letter F, please.

A day off from P-T??? Ohhh, what nerve! LOL!!!
Two good guesses from both of you. Here's the update:
E _ _ H E _ _ _ _ / _ F / _ H E / F _ _ _ _ A _ _

E _ _ H E _ _ _ _ / _ F / _ H E / F _ _ _ _ A _ _

May I have the T this time ?

I think I can see the first word but not the last... so an L if you please

I'll ask for the O and maybe I'll get lucky and get a couple more, if you please.

Well, I think this should just about do it. I have a feeling someone will guess it by tomorrow night.
E _ T H E L _ O _ / O F / T H E / F O _ _ T A _ _
E _ T H E L _ O _ / O F / T H E / F O _ _ T A _ _

May I please have a N this time ?

Alas! I see it now...
Ecthelion of the Fountain
He who slayed the Lord of Balrogs, but was slain himself in the process
Ecthelion of the Fountain
He who slayed the Lord of Balrogs, but was slain himself in the process

I hadn't a clue other than my middle O in that one. Seeing as I got three of them last time, I may as well stay with the O in the next one please.

Very good Brother Loss! Your turn. (Oh and I just noticed, YOU DID IT AGAIN, LOL! You got only one letter in the whole puzzle (L), but you swooped in for the kill at the end.
)
May I have a "T" please, to start off your next puzzle?

May I have a "T" please, to start off your next puzzle?

Mwahaha(evil laugh)hahahaa so I did, but at least I DID get one correct
Tough break Grondy
Try this then:
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ (5,2,5,5)

Tough break Grondy

Try this then:
_ _ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ (5,2,5,5)

Right, first round *ding ding ding*
_ _ _ _ T / O _ / _ O _ _ T / _ O O _ (5,2,5,5)
Four O's for Grondy, (plenty of O's just for you
)
and, Two T's for Meneldur
End of round *ding ding ding*
_ _ _ _ T / O _ / _ O _ _ T / _ O O _ (5,2,5,5)
Four O's for Grondy, (plenty of O's just for you

and, Two T's for Meneldur
End of round *ding ding ding*

Any K there brother Loss ?

Why not a W, Grondy asked himself, his fellow players, and the Loss the Great Gamer>?

How about an "N" if there happens to be one?

What about a "F" for me?

Okay, second round *ding ding ding*
_ _ _ _ T / O F / _ O _ N T / _ O O _ (5,2,5,5)
Thou asketh of me, Sir Grondy, but a simple W, though not the only choice of lettering, you asketh me this nonetheless? Tis a pity that such a gesture such as this has failed your tongue:
Four O's but no W's for Grondy, (I do talk Ole English good I do
)
Two T's and One N for Meneldur
One F for Thorin
but Alas! no K for dear Mellon
End of round *ding ding ding*
_ _ _ _ T / O F / _ O _ N T / _ O O _ (5,2,5,5)

I'll try an S please.

Is there an R please?

I think I got it: QUEST OF MOUNT DOOM

Ah! So you do... I was about to post the third round
But, Quest of Mount Doom is correct... and along with that, I'll go for an N in your upcoming puzzle

Please Master Meneldur, might there be an L or two?
