I'm listening to the Angels game on the radio. We're playing the Twins, and it's still 0-0 going into the bottom of the 2nd.

After listening to the waves slapping against the side of the boat for the past week or so I'm kind of missing the sound. I've gone nearly two weeks without music now, and kind of like listening to the sound of the breeze outside rustling the trees, the birds chirping and a dove on my roof cooing.

Contemplating listening to Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell but I keep changing my mind each time I get to the stereo.
Opeth - Closure
Just fans of the wind blowing kind.
cradle of filth - mannequin (i love this song!)
Nine Inch Nails - Hurt
My version of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, among the first pieces I ever sold to LOADSTAR back in 1996.

Sinatra, Live in Australia Cool Smilie
Atom Heart Mother - Pink Floyd

I just love the way they meld those violins into electric guitars. The choir is great too.

I thought he was dead.

So I guess it is Sinatra, Not so Live in Australia. . . Angel Smilie
I'd guess it was Sinatra's 1959 album entitled Live in Australia.

I'm listening to fans.

(Grondy merely stopped the italics earlier than before.

Way to go Melian! Orc With Thumbs Up Smilie

Right now I’m listening to a local radio station called KCSB, and the specific show I’m listening to is called ’Bluesland’. It’s a three-hour show once a week on Monday’s that plays nothing but the Blues, and is basically the only thing I listen to on the radio these days, unless I’m listening to a baseball game that’s not on T.V.

Anyway, I’m curious to hear if they play any of our music on the show today because I think we have started to get some airplay on that station (they also have a couple of other Blues programs on the weekend).

Thanks Elfstone. That sounds like an interesting radio station. I wish we had a better choice out here. Nothing but pop in NM! I don't listen to the radio much either, once in a while I will listen to the classical station, or some classic rock station.

Anyway, now I am listening to Astor Piazzolla -- Milonga del Angel.
Time After Time by John Owens and C. Carlyle Chalk (that's Elfy on the guitar). Cool Elf Smilie
Elfstone, you play the blues? I'm Laurelindhe, by the way. New here, but not new to Tolkien.
I sing the blues by myself at home...when I'm doing laundry...okay, yours is a lot cooler. That is great you are getting airplay. Where do you play gigs? What city are you based out of? I am sorry to barrage you with questions when you don't even know me. I suppose I am overly friendly...anyhow, good to know there's a musician here.

I myself am listening to Charlie Barnet, the song Skyliner. Real jazzy swing kind of stuff.
Elvis - All Shook Up
I'm such an Elvis fan... Look Around Smilie

That's great! Thumbs Up Smilie Is your groups music original?

Melian have you ever heard of the Assad brothers? You should check out the album entitled Sergio & Odair Assad Play Piazzolla (Nonesuch Records, 2001). It might be kind of hard to find, but it’s well worth it! I have a pretty decent record collection if I do say so myself, and that record is without a doubt one of the best records I own! Absolutely mind-blowing!!!

Hi Laurelindhe! No worries about the questions, I don’t mind answering! Generally, as long as I’ve had my coffee, I’m usually a very friendly and accessible person.

Anyway, I’m an aspiring professional blues guitarist/songwriter, and I currently play in an acoustic blues duo with one of my best friends, and longtime musical collaborators. We are based out of Santa Barbara California, and are currently performing in, and around the Southern California area.

The name of our first album together as an acoustic blues duo is called Time After ’While. If you (or anyone else) would like some more info about us, just send me a PM (private message) here, and I would be happy to tell you some more, and provide you with a link to our website if you’re interested.

The majority of our repertoire consists of pre-WW2 style Country and Delta style acoustic blues, but we also mix in material from other genres sometimes as well. We do traditionals, standards, covers, and original material.
Happy Elf Smilie

Assad brothers. . . It seems like I have seen that title before. I will check into that. The version I had was played by Yo-Yo Ma.

I am always impressed when a musician is able to get work! I am an aspiring singer (opera and otherwise) and I know how competitive it is out there. Good job ! Orc With Thumbs Up Smilie

Anyway, to stay on subject, I am listening to the tv, background noise.
Oprah... I love Oprah.

Oprah... I love Oprah.
No HoHo05, that's Opera. You know, where the fat lady sings to end the ballgame. I like some of the old ones like by Mozart, Verdi, and Puccini, but dislike most of the modern ones.

I'm listening to NPR's All Things Considered.
Hey, Elfstone-thanks for the nice "hi"...I'm from Southern Cali, too, originally-now I live in Arizona, or what I affectionately call "Satan's Armpit". I miss California...

Right now, I'm listening to "Mr. Turner" by Corey Harris.

I feel the same way. I tend to like the older ones from the Baroque period a lot. I don't care much for Wagner ,perhaps due to my short attention span Boring Smilie . Although Peter Grimes by Britten is pretty good for a somewhat modern opera.

I am listening to Dark Side of the Moon. . .
Good choice, Melian!
Do you think what people say about listening to that in unison with watching Wizard of Oz true?
For those that have never heard the modern myth, supposedly if you listen to PF's Dark Side of the Moon at the exact same time you are watching the above mentioned movie, you are supposed to get some hidden meaning out of WoO...or something like that...of course, that might have been an idea thought up by someone experimenting with certain things...you know...beyond the old Longbottom Leaf...

I am listening to the sounds of silence-not Simon&Garfunkle(though I love them!), but truly, silence.

No Grondy, Oprah, Oprah Winfrey.. my mom was watching her show in the other room! Haha
Lol nice one Grondy Very Big Grin Smilie
I'm listening to some stupid crickets. Somehow one got inside and it's staked out under the computer desk chirping away but I'm too lazy to find it and put it outside, and the other is in the garage chirping. It's kinda funny, when I sneezed they both stopped and then started at the same time... I bet they're gossiping about me... Paranoid Smilie Wary Smilie
Heehee. My crickets are gossiping about you too. I can ehar them! hahaha. But actually I'm listening to Tchaikovsky's 'Valse de fleurs.' That means Waltz of the Flowers. It's so cool. And guess who is playing it? ME!!! On my piano. Oh yeah. Da da da da da - - dadaaaaa! Dadadadadadeedadeeda! It's soooo cool!
I'm listening to sounds of people in my house. I'm not used to it. Usually the only sounds I hear are the ones I make.
I'm listening to NPR's Midday, which starts at noon on the Left Coast.
Listening to the Angels vs. the D-rays in the rubber match of the series. We were up 8-0 going into the bottom of the 7th after Josh Paul hit a grand slam, but then John Lackey who had been pitching an excellent game for us just gave up 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th, and blew his shut out bid. Now 8-4 headed into the top of the 8th. Hold on Halo's, we need this one big time today!!!

Actually, as I was just about to post, Erstad just hit a home run for us! Way to go Ersty!!! 10-4 Halo's now headed into the bottom of the 8th.

Right now I am listening to "Here Comes Your Man" by the Pixies. Remember that one? Great song. Love the Pixies. (hmm...elves...pixies...dwarves...trend here?)

By the way, you all have wonderful and unique taste in music-this thread really covers a broad spectrum...
Yay! I love The Pixies! Especially Here Comes Your Man!

Not listening to anything musical at the moment....... just the voices in my head.
I am listening to a piece on the piano played by ME composed by ME. It's so cool. But I've arranged it for two pianos, a guitar, a flute, and a bass. So I've recorded one piano on tape, and I'm playing the other part to the tape. It's SOOOOO cool. One piano goes da di da di da di da di da di dadada di da.... And the other goes da dadadadidadada da dadadadidadada..... It is SO SO cool.
Yes, Loni-it is definitely very cool to create something that is your very own. Sounds like you are enjoying yourself-lots of "da di da's" indicates that you might be enjoying it a little too much... Very Big Grin Smilie-just kidding.

Right now I am listening to my husband yell at me to get off the computer. Very pleasant!
I'm listening to Sugar Magnolia (again and again and again) by Grateful Dead because it makes me feel happy Big Smile Smilie because it's so dreary out
That song is good medicine, Andrea...

I am listening to Knights In White Satin by The Moody Blues.
Always look on the bright side of life. Monty Python. That's a song to make you feel good. Aaaah. Sometimes the radio can do marvellous things.
i'm listening to me playing nirvana's 'all apologies' on my guitar
