I am listening to Aslan, an Irish band, performing a version of Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'. Good version - Migsy - you should listen to it if you have the chance.

The album Wish you Were Here was dedicated to Syd Barrett, original PF frontman who had left a few years earlier. Syd Barrett died recently.

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell
Blue skies from Pain
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail ?
A smile from a veil ?
Do you think you can tell
And did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts ?
Hot ashes for trees ?
Hot air for a cool breeze ?
Cold comfort for chains ?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage

How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over the same old ground
What have we found ?
The same old fears
Wish you were here
