How was Muzgash the Orc killed Question Smilie
Muzgash t'were the Orc that printed his name onto the head of a dwarf? And another dwarf killed him out of revenge? I'll say Thorin Oakenshield... It was that day that got him his last name, he used a part of a tree as a shield? (I remember reading it in the Appendices not so long ago...)

Can't blame me for trying Wiggle SmilieWiggle SmilieWiggle Smilie
Nah! It was Azog who had written his name on the face of Thror which had triggered that fabled Dwaf and Goblin Ward. Azog was later killed by Dain. And I got Oakenshield as last name as when we were beaten back to the woods which grew near to the Gates of Moria I had hewed off a branch to use as another weapon and to beat off Attacks.

I know the answer but I'll wait a bit longer!

Why did Niggle fall off his bicycle Question Smilie
I have read Roverrandom only once, two years ago, and I don't remember the story much so I'll say he fell because of fatigue. Elf With a Big Grin Smilie
Ooooh I should know this. I read 'leaf by Niggle' not too long ago. But I still can't remember... He was to get some stuff for the neighbour and his sick wife I think? And the road was wet from heavy rain? Oh well, that'll be my guess.
No, but here is a hint: He was in the afterlife when this happpened.
Another hint: It was about something he saw.

(See Tolkien the Illustrator and the discussion of today and yesterday for more info about this.)
Okay, during his life Niggle wanted to paint a tree that he saw in his mind's eye, but he was always interrupted by his neighbors who wanted him to do something for them, including using part of his canvas to patch one of their roofs. So by the time Niggle died, he had only gotten around to completing the painting of but a single leaf. Then when he arrived in heaven and was touring it on a bicycle, he spotted something which made him fall off his bicycle. It was his completed three-dimentional tree in all its glory, that he had been failed to paint during his lifetime.

Get the story and read it, for JRR Tolkien wrote it ever so much better than my poor summary above. It can be found in The Tolkien Reader.
