Depends on the manner and the cause of death: A painful lingering death when still young could never be chosen ahead of a painless quick death when old; nor would a painless quick death, or any kind of death for that matter, be chosen when still young.
Any young person who commits suicide is guilty of taking the coward's way out. Life is a precious gift and we need to make the best of it no matter how bleak it looks at the moment. There is always many people out there to whom we can share our pain and receive some understanding and comfort. But sometimes we have to ask for help; for even if they were very willing, they can't help if they only find out help was needed, after the fact.
