Idly Ashwyn wondered if Eva would like her help. But feeling uncharacteristicly lazy she decided that if Eva wanted some help all she had to do was ask.
THAT IRRITATED ME, said Death. YOU WOULD BE WISE NOT TO DO IT AGAIN.
He made a brief gesture with one of his hands, then Morohtar's cloak rotted in the space of a second and settled to the stone floor.
AND I'M NOT SURE WE WERE PROPERLY INTRODUCED, he said, turning his cowled skull to Ashwyn. I AM DEATH, BRINGER OF GRIEF. WHAT ARE YOU NAMED, ELF?
Morohtar kicked his chair backwards, and whipped his scimitar out.
"Return my Father's Cloak!" Morohtar muttered, hoping that Death would return the cloak before the sword was needed.
Ashwyn dipped her head in Death's direction. "Welcome to the Khazad-Dumish Inn, I am Ashwyn Laurelwin of Lorien." with that she leaned back in her seat and glanced at Morohtar who seemed to be a rather odd character.
Thorin who was brewing some of Gimli's Finest (TM) heard Ashwyn speak. Looking up he spoke:

"Ah! An elf from Lorien! It is long time since we heard news from down there. Would you like a pint of beer while you tell us of the doings in that part of the world if it would please you?"
IT HAS ROTTED, said Death, indicating a fetid pile of tattered threads near Morohtar's feet. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT NOW.
He looked over to the bar.
AH, DWARF, he said to Thorin. A BEER, IF YOU PLEASE. ONE OF THE FINEST.
"Thorin, Death, Ashwyn, do you mind taking the latest few barrels of Ch’sorian into the Kitchen?" Morohtar asked, heading to the cellars. Minutes later, him and 3 men returned from the tunnels with 3 large barrels of wine. They went back, and returned with 3 more. They rolled them next to the door to the kitchen, and the 3 other men walked back to their cart in the tunnels, and headed home. Morohtar rolled the first barrel in, and began to lift the second barrel.
Ashwyn loved relaying news and so was about to say that she would gladly exchange news from the Golden Wood with them when Morohtar requested they help him with the wine. Ashwyn frowned but quickly decided that good could come of this. So giving a lazy smile she said, "I'll gladly help in return for a glass of free Chasorian wine." She knew how expensive it was and honestly didn't care whether Morohtar accepted her proposition, for she honestly was alright with whatever decision he made and thought that this was at least fair considering how he had unwittingly interrupted the beginnings of a news exchange.
"Don't Blame me. My Couriers have a bad sense of timing. You may have some for free." Morohtar muttered, sensing Ashwyn's thoughts. He poured some out, and passed it to her.
Ashwyn nodded and smiled accepting the wine though she was moderately surprised that he hadn't made a bigger fuss over it. But not wanting to push her luck she shrugged, accepted it and took a long draught from it.
"The... BARREL!" Muttered Morohtar, lifting the heavy barrel onto his back, he suddenly tripped, and the barrel slammed him onto the ground. He grumbled, before stopping to try and get it off and collapsing.
Ashwyn couldn't help but chuckle. All the same she reached out pushed the barrel away and offered him her hand.
"Thank you." Morohtar grumbled, collapsing on a chair.
Death suddenly jolted out of his reverie.
SOME ORC HAS JUST GONE AND GOT HIMSELF SHOT, he said in an irritated voice. He vanished without a trace.
After a few minutes he returned, sitting back in the chair.
ORCS ARE ALWAYS SO RUDE, he said. CURSING AND SHOUTING ABOUT THE ELF THAT GOT HIM.
He looked to Ashwyn.
I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO HEAR WHAT HAS BECOME OF THE WOOD, he said. NO-ONE EVER DIES THERE NOWADAYS.
Ashwyn grinned, cleared her throat and began to tell of the goings on in Lorien. "I was there not some 5 days ago to catch up with old friends (very old Elf Sticking Tounge Out Smilie ) They told me some very interesting news! Apparently the orcs are heading away from Moria to some other place. The elves find this very strange but as long as the orcs keep away from the wood they are content to let them go. I for my part would have followed them a ways to see where they were going but one of my older friends who has looked into this more says that the orcs are acting very strange and that it would be wise to say away for there is much mischief going on with them." Ashwyn paused "I've decided to stay here a while and see what news comes regarding them and then I think I'll go see what should be done about them."
OOC: Ashwyn, you've got about three different threads with Ashwyn the elf in them! Are there three different Ashwyns, or are these three different parts of her life?
Just asking.
Tongue Smilie
Morohtar bursts out laughing at Deaths comment about an Orc getting shot, then sits there grinning. He then stood up, and charged at the barrel, lifting it up and barging it into the kitchen.

I noticed that too Fornac.
so many interesting threads and It's spring break so my brain is officially turned off and therefore I can't come up with any other suitable names so I guess it's all different time periods. Though this news about Lorien ends up tying into my thread The Scourging of Mordor so for me this (My time in the Khazad-Dumish inn) is before I go to Minas Tirith and decide to go cleanse Mordor of evil Elf With a Big Grin Smilie I'll just say that any other Ashwyn's that don't fit into my strange time line are my descendants who are pretty much little doppelgangers of me right now. I've been playing with the idea of creating an evil alter ego for myself which could help things.....what do you guys think?
"Oi, be careful!" Eva exclaimed. "You'll hurt yourself again! Or my kitchen!"
"Well it would be in their best interest to stay away from Moria these days. Don't they know that Moria is now occupied by dwarves again?"

"And I looke forward to the days when these rats will be vanish from the earth. DO you want some snack with your beer Ashwyn?"
Ashwyn nodded "A snack would be great thanks. Whatever you think is good would be fine. Regarding the orcs I think they're not going to Moria but who knows. I agree that the sooner Middle Earth is free of them the better."
"Orc slaying for the fun of it is wrong." Morohtar muttered.
"Orc's are corrupted Elves, tortured by the Dark Masters of the South to do his bidding. They should be left alive. They are cowards, and their nobleness has been taken from them, so 5 Years in the Dungeons of Orthanc and being locked up in Barad-D’r will help cure them." Morohtar explained.
"However, when Sauron abused their fear of him, we had no choice but to kill. We should try to keep these alive, and help them recover." Morohtar finished.
"And if your going to be killing the elves, get Death 'Geoff' MacBeth to help you." Morohtar added, smirking.
"Is anyone starring in MacBeth at the moment? If yes; Sorry."
Eva raised an eyebrow. "'Took advantage of their weakness'? Sauron and his master are the ones that corrupted them so badly in the first place. Men should not speak of the 'weakness' of the elves who became orcs." She shook her head, trying to calm herself by addressing his other statement. "And other than Death himself, I don't think any of us are much suited for the Scottish play. Ashwyn and I, at least, would be much better off in A Midsummer Night's Dream."
"I would be good as Hamlet. My point still stands. Why kill innocent creatures. The Dark lord tortured them into a strong sense of fear, which caused them to obey him. Give them a chance. Give them a limited amount of trust." Morohtar muttered.
"And the play is English, William Shakespeare." Morohtar added.
BUT IT IS SET IN SCOTLAND, said Death. AND IT IS CONSIDERED UNLUCKY BY ACTORS TO MENTION ITS NAME, SO IT IS REFERRED TO AS THE 'SCOTTISH PLAY'.
AND AS TO YOUR POINT ABOUT THE ORCS, I DOUBT NOW THAT THEY COULD EVER BE CHANGED BACK TO WHAT THEY WERE. TOO CORRUPTED FOR TOO LONG.

OOC: Death is in all worlds, so he would know.
"They may not be changed back, however, they can still be trusted. They were scared into Sauron's bidding." Morohtar replied.
"If you wish me to assist you, you must give them a chance. They are misunderstood." Morohtar finished, slamming his mug onto the table.
OOC: Thats weird. Fornac, when are you going to continue the fight in the BDI, and does anyone here wanna be a Judgey person for it.

SORRY? Death asked. ASSIST ME WITH WHAT?
"I was continuing my argument about the Mindless and Meaningless slaughter of Orcs." Morohtar replied, pointing to Ashwyn.
YOU SAID, 'IF YOU WISH ME TO ASSIST YOU', said Death. WHAT DID YOU MEAN?
"I was saying that if Ash wants me to assist her in Mordor, she would have to give them a chance." Morohtar answered.
I SEE. replied Death. WHAT ERRAND DO YOU SERVE IN THAT DARK LAND?
"She is leading a bunch of warriors into a Orc Hunt, which is racism and discrimination." Morohtar replied, looking up at the elf. He headed behind the bar, and walked through to the kitchen. He slowly dragged out on of the barrels, and connected it to one of the taps in the bar. He then remembered there were 2 barrels still by the door.
"Death, you are magic and stuff, please can you transport these barrels to inside the kitchen... And their contents," Morohtar asked, his back still aching slightly.
Eva raised a skeptical eyebrow at Morohtar. "...Very few of the current orcs were ever elves," she said. "They breed true; that's how Saruman was able to create his even more dangerous Uruk-Hai. They feared Sauron, certainly, but I lived for many years when all thought and hoped him destroyed. They were less damaging then only because they were less organized, and fought each other as often as they fought any other race. They were no less wicked."

Eva shook her head. "I have no desire to assay a hunt into the dark land, but were a group closer to civilization, I would battle them without hesitation. There may, perhaps, be one or two individuals in the whole race that could be redeemed, or partly so... but I do think only one so young as you could believe that trust ought to be extended to the entire race. You seem to think they are like the Southrons, who may have honor, despite their culture worshiping darkness, but it is not so. Mistrust of an orc is not racist, no more than it is racist to mistrust a wild animal; the orc's wickedness is just as innate as such an animal's predatory instinct." Her eyes were bright and cold. She mingled freely with humans, hobbits, and even dwarves now, and it had been a long time since she had been to Rivendell or Lothlorien, but the suggestion that orcs were to be treated as just another race rather than the twisted, broken creatures they were riled her elven blood.
"Their ancestors were Elves, who were terribly tortured. Like you just said; twisted, broken creatures. They still have elven blood in them, and the Uruk's have a trace of it. This is like... killing a Elf of Mirkwood because you are from Rivendell, or killing a Rohirrim because you are Gondorian." Morohtar argued, pouring himself some wine.
Eva sighed. "...Did you even listen to more than my first sentence? It isn't like that at all. In fact, I would say your argument is like saying we shouldn't battle Nazgul because they were once men."
"No. We shouldn't fight the Nazg’l because my father was a Naz’l. He was leader of the 3rd or 4th strongest force against Sauron. He was tricked into becoming A Nazg’l by Sauron, and then Sauron had complete control of him. He was a soulless slave. We should only fight the Nazg’l to weaken Sauron." Morohtar replied angrily.

OOC: Read my first few posts in the Inn, and the first post of 'Eruheran's Quest' about the Nazg’l. The stuff I just said about the Nazg’l was just IC. OOC; I think they were greedy and corrupt enough to willingly take Sauron's rings, so deserved to be burnt @ weather-top, and killed & stuff. The stuff about Orcs is not just IC, but the Nazg’l stuff is.
Ashwyn was frowning and thinking about what Morohtar had said. She was well known for looking at both sides of an opinion and seeing their point of views, so much so that many times she was asked to help solve disagreements. Very slowly she said "I have no love for orcs, uruk-hai, or any other dark creatures nor shall I ever be able to fully rid myself of prejudices against them. Indeed I do not think they are as redeemable as you say yet if during my travel to rid Mordor of dark things an orc or uruk-hai begged for mercy I would grant him that, though it would be under lock ad key that he would travel with us until his lack of darkness was proven. BUT if it tried to harm my men it would be killed on the spot for that is unforgivable after we show it kindness. If you wish to come on my venture feel free, and you may "rescue" whatever orcs you see fit BUT they shall be your responsibility only and you shall be held account for their actions." Ashwyn had a feeling that this may not end well and honestly she agreed more with Eva but for now she couldn't see a huge problem with these terms as long as Morohtar could claim responsibility for them and keep her men safe.
"That is exactly my point. And going at war with long distant relatives is just stupid." Morohtar replied, grinning in agreement.
"And I would love to assist you. I will go out with only my scimitar, no armour or anything, and make them Orcs and Goblins assist you." Morohtar replied.
NOT KILLING IS FINE FOR ME, said Death. LESS WORK TO DO.

EDIT: Interesting avatar, Eruheran! Though I thought you had abandoned the name of Cheesey.
I have abandoned the name of Cheesey. It is intended as a Cheesy Joke.

Morohtar nodded.
"Don't you get a bonus from the head Maia dude for every person you take to Mandos?" Morohtar asked.
A BONUS? asked Death in confusion. YOU ASSUME THAT I AM PAID? EVEN IF I WAS, ONE OF THE MAIA WOULD NOT PAY. ONE OF THE VALAR WOULD BE MORE SUITABLE.
I dunno which is which with the Maiar etc. Soz.

"Oh." Morohtar muttered, smirking.
And now another new avatar! Was Eruheran formerly Sauron or something?
I know. I made it because I was bored, then realised it is the right size for an avatar, added the red glow thing to it and shoved it on here.

"Oi, Geoffy McDeathy. How many deaths do you have that are related to Chuck Norris?" Morohtar asked, bored.
cool I like it Eruheran Big Smile Smilie
NONE, replied Death. HE NEVER KILLED ANYONE.
Thanks Ashwyn.

"How was it during the Battle of Pelennor Fields? Many died every few seconds, there must be more than one person dealing with it." Morohtar asked.
IN THOSE SORTS OF SITUATIONS, replied Death, I HAVE MINIONS TO HARVEST THE VAST MAJORITY OF SOULS. I TAKE CARE OF THE KINGS, LORDS AND SUCHLIKE. THEODEN WAS A NICE MAN, AS FAR AS I CAN REMEMBER, BUT OLD DENETHOR WAS IRRITATING. KEPT CURSING GANDALF AND HIS OWN IDIOCY. AND ME, OCCASIONALLY.
Morohtar nods, looking at death.
"So the Orc who got him self shot a few hours ago was important? Or do you deal with important people in these situations? And when some goon kills me, is it possible for me to become one of your greater servants?" Morohtar asked.
